I went to see HP7 this afternoon. I was all ready for a good
blub (like when I finished the last book), but the tears didn't come. I was disappointed. I left the cinema feeling a little flat, and looking forward to watching my extended Director's cut version of the Lord of the Rings again. However, the long shots of the Highlands and a quick glimpse of
Battersea Power Station did make me think longingly of home.

I know what you mean... I consoled myself with the knowledge that it is all but impossible to expect a two hour movie to generate the same emotion as the experience of reading - being immersed in the detail - of a seven book saga. I mean, the Ron-Hermione kiss needed a lot more build up! But still, the end of an era.
